ABANDONED LOVE
WRITTEN MAY 2, 2006
WRITTEN MAY 2, 2006
In peaceful sorrow the young body lay
Eyes shut with its hand upon its chest
Legs crossed and slightly turned
The young body was slain to rest
This one cannot cry out for help
Nor pick itself up off the ground
In a small pile of leaves it stays
The poor young body shall never be found
Young and alone, this one shall stay
For its corpse will sink into the bed
Its heart abandoned and struck down
Another story, another past that goes unsaid.
Eyes shut with its hand upon its chest
Legs crossed and slightly turned
The young body was slain to rest
This one cannot cry out for help
Nor pick itself up off the ground
In a small pile of leaves it stays
The poor young body shall never be found
Young and alone, this one shall stay
For its corpse will sink into the bed
Its heart abandoned and struck down
Another story, another past that goes unsaid.
