I MEAN IT, MY LOVE
WRITTEN MAY 3, 2012
WRITTEN MAY 3, 2012
I've seen the world through others eyes
And I've fallen down several times
I've laughed and I've cried and I've run away
From everything that has come my way
But what you don't know, you'll hear me tell
That the world does sometimes look a bit like hell
But when I say, It was worth every day
I mean it, my friend.
My heart has flown and it has been broken
My world does feel a bit like I'm choking
But every breath seems a daze
When the wonderful things, again, do come my way
The love of a being slowly runs up my spine
And suddenly those breaths seem simply divine
And when I say, It was worth every day
I mean it, my love.
No matter who or what you are
You must come to terms with every scar
And though your time does seem a bit wasted - really...
You're just preparing, for something you've already tasted.
And like I say because it was worth every day
I still mean it, my heart.
