THE WILLOW & THE WIND

WRITTEN SEPTEMBER 12, 2006
A weeping willow cries in the night, alone and afraid
The wind blows fiercely and screams with no end
The final disruptions destroy the edge of the river bend
The final debt scored, settled, and paid
The willow finally calms and the wind softly speaks
The sadness never really left but gone for a time
The tall grass sways back and forth in rhythm and rhyme
The final destruction is past, no more leaks
If to forget the unhappiness is so easy of the past
Then why do the willow and the wind still cry
The wind had obviously forgotten, it still blows a sigh
The relationships fall as debris, it was always thought to last
The wind blows fiercely and screams with no end
The final disruptions destroy the edge of the river bend
The final debt scored, settled, and paid
The willow finally calms and the wind softly speaks
The sadness never really left but gone for a time
The tall grass sways back and forth in rhythm and rhyme
The final destruction is past, no more leaks
If to forget the unhappiness is so easy of the past
Then why do the willow and the wind still cry
The wind had obviously forgotten, it still blows a sigh
The relationships fall as debris, it was always thought to last
