You see, in my mind, when you give your heart to someone, your whole heart, and you love them and grow with them, you laugh and you cry with them, and you understand them, it just doesn't make sense to me that they wouldn't be apart of your life even when you aren't labeled something together. We are friends, we make each other smile, they are a person I can trust with everything that I am, but at the same time, they are human. They make mistakes, they fuck up, they don't always get things right; but the people I surround myself with, always, at least try, to make amends. I have never wanted to live in a world where they weren't apart of who I am, that I can't freely ask them how they're day is going or bring up an old memory that made me smile that morning. |
“Life becomes easier when you learn to accept the apology you never got.” -ROBERT BRAULT I'm almost glad its over, and at the same time, I couldn't be more heart broken. Ten years, and within one hour, it was gone. I think I'm still shocked on how quickly he went through the stages of sadness and then anger and then frustration, and then finally giving up completely. I don't even think he made it to acceptance, but then I don't think I ever did either. I keep trying, and I guess that's all any of us can really do. |
